This week, I began by researching the guidelines for professional dress-up. I discovered the dos and don'ts of professional business dressing, and some things surprised me, like finding out that a suit with patterns isn't considered professional. I also reviewed and finalized my resume, so it's now ready to send out. With that done, I'm wrapping up my networking preparations for the time being.
I also began researching my topic, nuclear astrophysics, which turned out to be more challenging than expected. I tried reading some nuclear astrophysics research papers, but I quickly got overwhelmed by all the unfamiliar symbols and terms. So, I decided to switch from nuclear astrophysics to just astrophysics in general. After some research, I came across two topics with more comprehensible articles: time travel and the Big Bang theory, both of which I'm very interested in. So, I might end up researching one of these topics instead of nuclear astrophysics.
For now, I've put my search for potential mentors on hold until I've settled on a specific topic. Next week, I plan to focus on exploring the Big Bang theory and time travel further, and hopefully, by the end of the week, I'll have decided on a final research topic.
